It wouldn’t be Spring without a few sales and events and boy, oh boy does Lamar Park have some great ones going on! Who says April showers? I say April SALES (and events too)! Over at Franesca’s now through April 18 all picture frames are 50% off, and all previously marked down handbags are an additional 30% off. At those prices, you can’t just get one!  Also don’t forget to always look for their “Pick of the Week” for an amazing discount off select merchandise.  2010 has just flown by thus far, I can’t even believe it’s already April. Though it may seem a ways off now, at this pace it will be here in no time: Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 1 for the Texas Jewelry Show at Pilar. Perfect timing for a great Mother’s Day Gift!

Francesca's Pick of the Week!

The ladies and gents over at Julian Gold have their hands full with a plethora of events through May. I don’t know how they do it! Going on right now through April 14 is the ALGO Swiss Designer Sportswear Trunk Show; head on over to the store to see what they have going on!  Coming up later this week are the Damianou and Daymor Eveningwear Trunk Show from April 15th – 17th, and The Sondra Roberts Handbag Trunk Show April 16th.  Looking ahead a bit (mark your calendars!) is the Claudia Labao Jewelry Trunk Show, April 20th – 21st.  And last, but certainly not least, in May there is the Laurel Bridge Sportswear Trunk Show, May 6th – 7th, the Lourdes Chavez Designer Trunk Show, May 11th – 12th, the St. John Designer Trunk Show, May 18th- 19th, and finally a Weill Designer Trunk Show, May 24th – 25th.  Now if that’s not an event calendar, I’m not sure what is!  But, don’t worry, I’ll be sure to remind you all again when the time comes.

Julian Gold’s not the only store with a ton going on, Four Chicks in the Park has some very busy chicks putting on fantastic events through April.  The Jon Hart Graduation Sale is going on now through April 30…Take it from me, there is no better graduation gift than a Jon Hart gift!  On April 30 be sure to visit the Jon Hart Trunk Show from 1:00 – 5:30pm for free monograming!  What a deal!  And definitely take advantage of the Ears to You! special going on now: Purchase any Brighton necklace and bracelet and choose any pair of Brighton earrings free*! Finally next Thursday and Friday, February 25 & 26, check out the Charity League Runway Show featuring Josie Natori and then the Natorious Loungewear and Spotswear Trunk Show. Wow! Happy Friday Lamar Park shoppers! I know it’s a little late, but I wanted to fill all of you in on a few of the things going on at The Park this weekend.

Gourmet and Gadgets has just gotten at TON of new things in, from New Orleans dirty rice mix and football cookie cutters (I must say though, since Peyton Manning is my boyfriend I just have to cheer for the Colts) to Julia Child’s famed recipes in Mastering the Art of French Cooking you definitely need to stop by and check it out. And who doesn’t love a good cupcake pan?! Could it be any cuter?  

Tracy Tenpenny will be at Goosefeathers tomorrow! What’s more, 10% of proceeds from sales with Tracy will be donated to the American Red Cross – what could be a better reason to stop by than savin’ the Haitian nation? None that I can think of, that’s for sure. The Goose also happens to have some of the cutest new Spring pieces; I want them all!

It’s here! It’s finally here! Rain or shine (or should I say coastal flooding or monsoon?) the show must go on, and Lighting of the Park will take place tonight! Sadly, I am stuck up here in dreary Washington, D.C., but my thoughts will be with all of you when you eat, drink and be merry (and SHOP!) this evening. Keep an eye out for my parents and give them a big ‘ol hug for me because spending Thanksgiving in Texas just wasn’t enough!
